ISR / IERA Award Presentation / AUTOMATICA 2010

Munich will become Meeting Point of the International Robotics Community

From 7 to 9 June 2010 the joint conference of the 41st International Symposium on Robotics ISR 2010 and the 6th German Conference on Robotics ROBOTIK 2010 take place at the International Congress Centre Munich in Germany. The joint conference is organized in conjunction with the international trade fair AUTOMATICA. These events offer a platform for researchers and developers as well as for manufacturers, users, and integrators in the field of robotics. During the banquet on 8 June 2010 there will be the presentation of the IERA Award and the Engelberger Robotics Award, two prestigious honours for excellent achievements in robotics.

 

ISR 2010 - Call For Papers closed

The programme committee of International Symposium on Robotics ISR closed the Call for Papers.  244 abstracts were submitted within the deadline. The committee will decide in January about the programme. Still today the ISR is the world's robotic summit for the international robotics community, providing perfect opportunity for scientists, engineers and industry to present their pioneering works in robotics. In addition, ISR 2010 is the best market place to cultivate contacts in robotics worldwide. More information is available on the webpage  www.isr-robotik-2010.com.

 

IERA Award 2010 - Call For Applications

Applications for the IEEE/IFR Invention & Entrepreneurship Award (IERA Award) will be accepted until 31 March 2010. The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS) and the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) jointly sponsor the Invention and Entrepreneurship Award. The purpose of this award is to highlight and honour the achievements of the inventors with value creating ideas and entrepreneurs who propel those ideas into world-class products.

A prestigious plaque will be awarded to each finalist and a US$ 2,000 prize will be awarded to the winner during the ISR banquet on 8 June 2010. Call for Applications pdf-download

 

AUTOMATICA - International Trade Fair for Automation and Mechatronics

Around six months before the start of the next AUTOMATICA (June 8 until 11, 2010), more than 26,000 square metres of exhibition space (net), about two third of the entire exhibition area in 2008, is already booked. Around 400 high-ranking exhibitors from Germany as well as companies from abroad will be participating in the International Trade Fair for Automation and Mechatronics. The most represented countries are Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Canada, Netherlands, Great Britain, Poland, Spain, Israel, Luxemburg and Vietnam. The companies have been placed now. Booking is still possible. The pavilion of the countries (Italy and France) is in the stage of final planning. This project is supported and sponsored by UBI France.
